Technical Editor (Remote) at Cella

Location: Kohler, Wisconsin (Remote)Job Type: ContractCompensation Range: $38 - 43 per hourAre you a detail-oriented communicator with a knack for making complex mechanical concepts easy to understand? We are seeking a Technical Editor to oversee the quality, clarity, and precision of technical documentation for our industry-leading plumbing products.In this role, you will do more than just check grammar; you will serve as a bridge between engineering and the end-user, ensuring that installation instructions, homeowner guides, and digital assets are accurate, safe, and professional.Responsibilities:Content Excellence: Review and edit technical content for plumbing products, including installation instructions, homeowner guides, servicing manuals, labels, packaging, and animation scripts.Standards Advocacy: Recommend and support technical communication requirements and style standards across all publications.Project Management: Lead assignments from conception to completion, collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and Digital Communications teams.Quality Control: Edit for content modeling, quality standards, and adherence to style guides (Chicago Manual of Style or Gregg Reference Manual).Problem Solving: Utilize root cause analysis (STAR method) to identify and resolve documentation or process issues.
