Are you excited at the opportunity to electrify and decarbonize the worldJob DescriptionJoin the Aero Thermal & Clearances Design (ATCD) team within Gas Turbine Engineering as the Technical Leader of Advanced Gas Turbine this role you will provide technical oversight and mentorship to our Clearances team which is dedicated to designing and optimizing gas turbine operating clearances to achieve target performance levels. This position offers an excellent opportunity to demonstrate & gain gas turbine system-level design experience and develop a broad knowledge of components and gas turbine operations.As the Technical Leader in a specialized field you serve as a recognized expert in clearance engineering and will lead projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business. Your responsibilities will include addressing and resolving complex issues within clearance and system-level mechanical analysis while contributing to the overall business strategy. This new role will be focused on NPI design NPI unit production validation and testing plus partnering with other CTHs/TLs on clearance centric tool and roadmap development.Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Technical Leader is responsible for the design and optimization of all functional rotor / stator interface clearances seal clearances and rotor / stator alignment to maximize gas turbine performance.In this role you will:Facilitate Clearances projects worked by the team help define inputs and methods monitor progress perform peer reviews and support Controlled Title Holder (CTH) reviews.Mentor & provide technical oversight to global Clearances team.Lead Clearance NPI programs from conceptual design through successful execution of field testing to validate and optimize clearances.Identify opportunities to test and enhance clearances technologies to improve gas turbine performance and reliability.Ensure clearance analysis are performed in accordance with design practice (DP) requirements and design template (DT) best practices.Support CTH in enhancements in design methodologies and design tools.Collaborate with a wide range of multidisciplinary team members using clear and effective communication skills understanding the needs of our internal customers and maintaining a One Team mindset.Drive consistent quality and OTD for design reviews drawings and formal documentation.Assist in short-term and long-term strategic and project planning initiatives.Qualifications / RequirementsBachelors degree in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical Aerospace or comparable)Minimum of 6 years gas turbine design engineering experience.This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. government export control restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. persons including U.S. citizens lawful permanent residents and protected individuals (e.g. certain refugees and asylees). GE Vernova will require proof of status prior to employment.DesiredExperience included at least 3 years of gas turbine design experience in Clearances Casing or Rotor design. Advanced degree in relevant engineering disciplineStrong interpersonal skillsDemonstrated problem solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Gas Turbine manufacturing support fleet field support (PAC cases) RCAs Requisition and CM&U work. Understanding of internal GE Vernova business processesDemonstrated abilities to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and to understand the needs of internal and external customersThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Relocation Assistance Provided: NoFor candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $111200.00 and $185400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
