Technical Program Manager

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Supercharge human creativity, productivity, and communication with AI (including Generative AI) across Google Workspace products.

We are a horizontal team working closely across all products in Workspace to provide a platform for high usage AI features to Workspace products, and we own e2e feature development for horizontal AI features. In this role you will play a pivotal role in shaping the AI user experience, working across a range of components in the stack, including Frontend, Serving, Integrations, and more. Responsibilities:

  • Own and guide high-impact infrastructure projects from requirements through launch, including defining requirements, identifying dependencies, managing project schedules, and performing risk management.
  • Identify trends and themes among project and team issues, and drive root-cause analysis with the development, product, and UX teams.
  • Address the challenges of scope creep, shifting priorities, and delayed timelines while maintaining a clear focus on delivering results.
  • Work with developers and leadership to distill complex technical concepts into actionable steps.
  • Help bridge the gap between technical teams and executive leadership by showcasing the impact of infrastructure work.
  • Lead efforts to quantify and communicate the value of ongoing projects, helping secure buy-in, alignment on direction and visibility.
  • Communicate with and build relationships across the core team and partner teams.
