Our expertise includes advanced research systems maritime solutions sophisticated sensor technologies and payload delivery capabilities.Job SummaryAs a Project Engineer II you will serve as a crucial technical resource supporting the planning and tactical execution of engineering content for assigned programs. This role involves direct collaboration with the Program Manager and Engineering Leadership where you will drive multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and on budget. You will act as the primary technical liaison between engineering management various technical disciplines and the customer. This position is essential for managing project scope and execution within a rigorous deadline-driven environment while ensuring alignment with business goals through effective cross-functional collaboration.Responsibilities and TasksGuide and execute engineering management practices to include holding requirements technical review boards and systems engineering technical reviews to include understanding and interpreting technical requirements and coordinating requirements across organizationsWorking knowledge of DOD program environment; esp. FAR ITAR and FMS requirementsManage technical team ETCs throughout the project lifecycleOversees and coordinates the cost/schedule/technical aspects of ongoing engineering projects and understand Earned Value analysis of cost and schedule metricsAssigns specific job tasks to engineers and teams for completion as well as monitor progressProvides key technical insight to Vice President of Development Programs Vice President of Engineering and Senior Leadership Team in internal and external program reviews and reportsInterface directly with customers through presentations meetings or other communicationServe as member of the Engineering Leadership Team (ELT)Support Bid and proposals efforts including system architectural design BOE creation and technical writingUses Sparton policies and procedures to complete work assignments and assures group employees adhere to the Sparton policies and proceduresAll other duties as assignedEducation Experience Licenses and Certifications4-year degree from an accredited university in Engineering or related field0 to 3 years of project engineering experience3-5 years of engineering experienceEarned Value Management (EVM) Control Account Manager (CAM) experience preferredExperience working through the System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) processU.S. Citizenship is required.Must possess or be able to acquire a DoD Secret Security Clearance.Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated analytical problem solvingStrong interpersonal and communication skillsThorough understanding of the Defense acquisition and budget processProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including MS ProjectAbility to travel domestically and internationally when requiredSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneTravel and Physical Requirements10% travel requirement ability to travel domestically and internationally when requiredThe physical demands describe here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
