We are looking for a writer with a passion for technology and communication who can make complex technical concepts accessible to our diverse user community. Workato has a culture that values documentation which means you will get contributions from engineers the community and more!You will make it easy for our user community to create automations and make automation accessible for all roles in a company.In this role you will also be responsible to:Collaborate with Engineering Product Support and Sales teams to deliver high-quality documentation that ensures customer successProduce clear consistent documentation including user guides workflows and best practicesWrite technical content with unified examples consistent style and attention to detailMaintain clarity and structure across documentationDocument Workatos core product and key features for both developer and non-developer audiencesWork with cross-functional teams (PM CS and Product Marketing) to understand the scope and direction of documentation needsRespond to internal and external feedback to continuously improve documentationContribute to documentation tooling GitHub repository management and CI/CD workflowsSupport documentation initiatives and projects as they ariseRequirementsQualifications / Experience / Technical Skills2-4 years of experience writing technical documentation preferably for a developer or technical audienceExperience working in a modern documentation toolchain including GitHub or similar source control systemsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automated documentation buildsCommand line proficiencyProficiency with Markdown reStructuredText or equivalent markup languagesAbility to read and understand code examples in languages such as Java Python or similarFamiliarity with technical writing standards and common style guides with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersBachelors Degree in Technical Writing Computer Science English or a related field (or equivalent experience)Soft Skills / Personal CharacteristicsExcellent writing editing and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to research learn quickly and communicate complex technical concepts with clarity and simplicityNice to HavesExperience supporting documentation initiatives such as tooling improvements or workflow optimizationsExperience building custom pluginsProduct management experience supporting technical projects for documentationFamiliarity with AI-powered documentation tools and best practices for AI-assisted content creation(REQ ID: 2401) Key Skills Proofreading,Adobe Acrobat,Content Management Systems,Technical Writing,Visio,Microsoft Powerpoint,Sharepoint,XML,Confluence,Wiki Systems,Word Processing,Writing Skills Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
