This entry-level role is for someone with up to three years of experience who is passionate about clear communication multimedia editing and instructional design. You will work closely with subject matter experts to develop edit and maintain high-quality documentation and training materials that support our products services and internal processes.In this dynamic role you will work across multiple platforms to refine written content edit learning videos and publish knowledge base articles that empower our internal and external audiences. You will also manage documentation workflows and help ensure our training materials are accurate engaging and easy to use. This is a great opportunity to build your skills in a fast-paced collaborative environment where your contributions will have a real impact.Microchip sponsorship is not available for this position!Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelors degree in English Communications Technical Writing Instructional Design or a related field03 years of experience in technical writing editing or multimedia content developmentStrong written communication skills and attention to detailFamiliarity with video editing tools such as Camtasia Adobe Premiere or similarExperience posting and managing content on Skilljar or other learning management systems (LMS)Basic graphic editing skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator etc.)Exposure to AI-based audio editing tools (Descript Adobe Podcast or similar)Experience working with or willingness to learn XWiki markup and platform conventionsExperience creating and managing content within Salesforce or similar CRM platformsAbility to communicate effectively with authors and subject matter experts to clarify and refine contentUnderstanding of content lifecycle management version control and archiving best practicesFamiliarity with creating SharePoint sites and organizing content for internal documentationExperience with chatbot prompting as well as editing and verifying chatbot-generated answers for accuracy and toneFamiliarity with SEO principles for optimizing help articles visibilityExpertise in applying the Chicago Manual of Style and APA formatting rules to various document typesEagerness to learn new tools platforms and technologiesBonus: Understanding of Microsoft Power Automate (Flows) for documentation approval workflowsThis position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.Travel Time:No TravelPhysical Attributes:Feeling Talking Works Alone Works Around OthersPhysical Requirements:80% sitting 10% standing 10% wakingMicrochip Technology Inc is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
