This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician who will leverage their technical expertise and leadership to ensure safe and efficient human spaceflight. This role involves setting up production areas operating precision tools and leading continuous improvement initiatives to support our mission of safe space exploration.Position Specific Details:Shifts: A Mon-Thur B Mon-ThurC Fri-SunD Fri-Sun Location: Huntsville ALRelocation: AvailableKey ResponsibilitiesConfigure new production work areas with the necessary tooling and equipment to ensure efficient workflow and minimize any potential delays during the transition to high-rate manufacturing.Operate material handling equipment (forklifts cranes etc.) and precision calibrated tools (torque wrenches micrometers etc.) to maintain high safety and quality standards.Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency enhancing overall productivity.Drive the transition from development to production proactively performing troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S principles to promote safety and operational efficiency.Tasks involve preparing and testing payload systems and hardware by applying materials conducting painting sealing composite layup repairs testing and assisting with vehicle assembly and installation.Identify and complete opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction optimizing our ability to achieve our mission at scale.Team Focus & Domain ExpertiseThe Integration Technician at Blue Origin plays a pivotal role in advancing the efficiency and reliability of aerospace components through cutting-edge assembly methods. As part of a large passionate and accomplished team of experts you will manufacture assemble hardware on the Engine manufacturing. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.Minimum QualificationsExperience with aerospace manufacturing integration or another related field: 3 Level II TechnicianAbility to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.Experience with precision calibration tools including torque wrenches micrometers calipers laser tracker and optical measuring instruments.Ability to lift 50lbs and comfortable working at heights (work stands ladders lifts) and/or in confined spaces.Proficiency in digital tools including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.Ability to earn trust maintain positive and professional relationships and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred QualificationsIndustry certification trade school training and/or degree in related field.Experience with cryogenic systems fluid assembly and aerospace/launch vehicle assembly crucial for ensuring the integrity and reliability of our spacecrafts propulsion systems.Knowledge of precision assembly processes and handling large aerospace components.Strong technical and leadership skills with a keen attention to detail essential for leading teams in complex integration tasks.Effective communication and collaboration skills in varied teams to foster a positive work environment.Continuous improvement mindset and curiosity for optimizing processes driving innovation.Experience working on aerospace payloads fairings capsules.Experience with large out-of-autoclave curing and production control systems.ATF Certification for handling and/or installing explosives.Siemens 840D controller experience G- and M-code familiarityLean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification.Willingness to work overtime.Culture StatementDont meet all desired requirements Studies have shown that some people are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single desired qualification.
