DescriptionProposed work Schedule; Wednesday-Saturday 2-12amMedVet is a fast-growing Emergency and Specialty provider with practices nationwide. Use your passion to drive the MedVet experience for our clients and patients as well as your teammates.We are looking for: Nursing Veterinary AssistantNever a dull moment in the Nursing department! Our patients need constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are being executed. This department is perfect for someone who can identify patient distress and react accordingly enjoys phlebotomy placing IV catheters assisting with recovery and client follow up and education.What youll do:Record and deliver organized rounds discuss cases and gather additional information as necessaryPartner with patient care team regarding treatment plans client communication and nursing care concernsProvide client education including but not limited to: home care instructions medications (indications adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patientsAssist DVM with patient assessment treatment and proceduresProvide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patientsPerform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testingWho you are:Prior veterinary experience required previous nursing or critical care experience desiredProficient in calculations (drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessaryAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPerks and Benefits include:Comprehensive Health BenefitsVision and DentalHSA FSA and Independent Care Spending401k with Employer MatchPaid Time Off (PTO)Shift Differentials and On-call PayUniform AllowanceEmployee Pet Discounts and Pet InsuranceElective Short-Term Disability Life and Accident Insurance and company paid Long Term DisabilityContinuing Education Opportunities and Assistance ProgramStrong career growth and personal development opportunitiesCome as you are.
