People wholl bring new perspectives solve tough problems and thrive as part of a team.If thats you and this role fits we want to hear from you.Join the power movement as a Production Technician The production technician is an integral part of the CFS team performing and monitoring the manufacturing processes required to build and test superconducting magnets. You will have the opportunity to work within a fast-paced exciting atmosphere to help the team meet the global necessity for clean energy. Ensures functional operation and preventative maintenance ofequipment and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include close cooperation with Operations Maintenance Quality and other departments to ensure goals and objectives are met. This role will lead the way to making Earth sustainable for the future to come. This production technician position requires 6 years experience in electro mechanical assembly.Hours: 6:00 am - 3:00 pmRate of pay: $30 - $41 per hourWhat youll do:Build a variety of electromechanical parts and assembliesWork within a multi-disciplinary team to develop and qualify new manufacturing techniques and processes Perform production builds according to procedures specifications and test instructionsTroubleshoot and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with a focus on continuous improvementUse various mechanical and precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches wrenches allen keys micrometers and calipersRead and interpret assembly drawings wiring diagrams and detailed work instructionsCommunicate challenges and ideas effectively to peers and leadershipOperate production testing and high-powered magnet equipmentPerform other related job duties related to the job as assigned by managementAbility to identify problems in a product and make clear recommendations to better the processDisplay great attention to detail and a sound understanding of what makes a good productWhat were looking for:High school diploma/equivalency certificate or higherMinimum of 6 years experience with various hand toolsMinimum of 6 years experience in Mechanical or Electrical AssemblyBonus points for: Experience with winding equipment of any type is a plusPLC ExperienceMaterial processingWorking with cryogenic chemicals such as LN2 and Helium in a controlled environmentBasic power toolsElectrical schematic and wiringEpoxy potting or injection molding experiencePlumbingVacuum systemsSolderingHarness builds / WiringCommitment to safety and qualityAbility to take directions from leadership and work independentlyDesire to work and contribute in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skillsMeticulous attention to detail and cleanliness with hands-on workAbility and patience to work through projects from start to finish including assembly and testingAbility to represent the Company in a positive and professional manner at all timesMust-have requirements:Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbsPerform activities such as stooping typing standing or sitting for extended periods of timeDedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards that may include heat cold noise fumes strong magnets lead (Pb) high voltage and cryogenicssWillingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally$30 - $41 an hourSalary range for this full-time position equity benefits.The actual salary will depend on level location qualifications and experience.
