Teflon Coater at REHAU

Position SummaryThe Tool Coating Technician commonly known internally as the Teflonizer is responsible for preparing coating and maintaining production tools molds and components using non-stick heat-resistant coatings. This role directly supports manufacturing performance by ensuring tools have the proper surface properties to prevent sticking reduce downtime and maintain product quality.This position requires routine work around high-temperature ovens and elevated heat environments.Key ResponsibilitiesCoating & PreparationClean sand mask and prepare tooling for coating.Apply non-stick and low-friction coatings according to REHAU standards.Operate spray equipment curing ovens and high-temperature processing stations.Monitor coating thickness adhesion finish quality and surface consistency.Tool Maintenance & SupportInspect tooling for wear or coating breakdown.Re-coat or repair tools based on production needs.Document coating batches tooling processed and turnaround times.Coordinate with Production Quality and Maintenance teams.Quality & SafetyPerform visual and adhesion checks on coated tools.Follow all REHAU safety policies including heat-exposure precautions PPE requirements and chemical handling standards.Maintain a clean organized and ventilated work area.Immediately report equipment issues or safety concerns.Continuous ImprovementRecommend process improvements to increase coating durability or efficiency.Assist with troubleshooting tool issues linked to coating wear heat exposure or adhesion concerns.Required QualificationsPrior manufacturing industrial coating painting or maintenance experience preferred.Ability to follow SOPs and safety documentation.Familiarity with basic hand tools.CompetenciesStrong attention to detailSafety-minded especially regarding heat and chemical exposureMechanical aptitudeQuality focusProblem-solvingPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsProlonged standing bending and tool handlingMust work in areas with high temperatures (curing ovens heated tooling)Ability to wear PPE including respirators heat-resistant gloves and eye protectionWork EnvironmentManufacturing environment with elevated temperatures curing ovens fumes and coatingsRequired use of PPE Key Skills Forklift,Hand Tools,Basic Math,ISO 9001,Mechanical Knowledge,Assembly Experience,Auto Painting,Conveyor Installation,Painting,Heavy Lifting,Power Tools,Manufacturing Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
