Diploma or Equivalent RequiredTelemetry monitoring experience preferredCLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency RequiredBasic Understanding/ability to learn medical terminology What You Will DoDemonstrates competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.Collects reports and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.Seeks assistance supervision or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.Processes admission and discharge or patients in system promptly. Prepares monitor for next patient admission.Notifies patients primary RN promptly of any changes in patients monitor view.Communicates promptly of perceived risks specific to patient safety or immediate need for assistance to co-workers nurses and physicians/providers.Completes safety checklists and quality controls as required.Assures that alarms are activated with appropriate settings and are sufficiently audible.Cleans all monitors per manufacturers instructions after each use.Reports equipment malfunction and/or failure immediately per escalation procedures.Answers telephone intercom and/or Vocera timely and in a polite manner and communicates information to the appropriate party.Maintains an orderly and clean work area in compliance with regulatory standards.
