Were looking for someone who can craft powerful narratives for both broadcast and digital platforms with a strong foundation in writing and story development. The ideal candidate thrives in every stage of productionpre-production production and post-productionand is ready to jump in with fresh ideas and collaborative energy.Experience with Adobe Premiere and camera operation will help you shine in this role and familiarity with live studio production is a significant plus.Minimum Qualifications Four years of production experience in television radio or multimedia; ORA bachelors degree in film studies broadcasting digital media cinematography or communications plus one year of production experience in television radio or multimedia.Job Specification The official job specifications for this role as defined by the State Civil Service can be foundhere.Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:The ideal candidate is a self-starter and collaborative storyteller with strong writing and editorial skills and a passion for documentary storytelling. Strong familiarity with the arts is a plus. The TV Producer will pitch and develop topics for series such as Art RocksandLouisiana Legends and will occasionally direct and produce documentaries overseeing all aspects of production. Content may be short or long-form.Pre-Production ResponsibilitiesPitch develop and book interviews for broadcast and digital content including documentaries series and live shows.Stay up to date on developments in the arts community developing and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.Production ResponsibilitiesDirect and conduct compelling on-camera interviews.Direct and/or shoot appropriate b-roll compiling and developing graphics and other visual images as needed.Strong writing skills and editorial judgment is a must.Post-Production ResponsibilitiesWork with assigned editor to oversee all aspects of production.
