This role identifies and educates members on options for financial transactions by leveraging product knowledge and technology resources.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Member ServiceGreet members and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.Address member inquiries regarding account information transactions and credit union products and services.Resolve member issues and complaints promptly and effectively or refer to appropriate personnel.Sales:Identify member needs by asking open ended questions around credit union products and services.Refer members to branch staff for further product presentation and enrollment.Transactional DutiesPerform teller duties such as cashing checks accepting deposits processing withdrawals and handling payments.Balance cash drawers and reconcile discrepancies.Process wire transfers and other financial transactions accurately and efficiently.Compliance and Risk ManagementAdhere to all credit union policies procedures and regulatory requirements.Maintain confidentiality and security of member information.Identify and report suspicious activities in compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.Team CollaborationWork closely with other team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient branch operation.Participate in branch meetings and contribute ideas to improve branch performance and member satisfaction.Administrative TasksMaintain accurate records of member interactions and transactions.Prepare and submit reports as required by management.Keep abreast of changes in credit union products services policies and procedures.Knowledge Skills and ExperienceCustomer Service OrientationSales SkillsCommunication SkillsAttention to DetailProblem-Solving AbilitiesTechnical ProficiencyTime ManagementTeam CollaborationRequired ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 6 months experience in customer service and cash handlingAbility to work flexible hours including weekends as neededInterpersonal SkillsA significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the -depth dialogues conversations and explanations with members direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience.
