Job Details Kalispell MT Part Time High School $14.00 - $15.50 Hourly TemporaryJob Description DEPARTMENT:Continuing EducationSTATUS AND SCHEDULE:Temporary to start April 2026 and may work up-to October 2026; part-time up-to 19 hours per week may work between Monday and Friday 8am to 5pm; will not work holidays; non-benefit eligibleFLSA:Hourly/Non-ExemptCLOSING:Open Until FilledSUMMARY:Supports FVCCs campus farmESSENTIAL DUTIES:Assists with crop production activities such as planting weeding mowing bed preparation and crop harvestWorks as a team member to ensure that crops are harvested and safely prepared for sale and distributionCoordinates and performs maintenance of field bindweed research plotsAssists with application of experimental treatments and data collection in the field bindweed research studyCommunicates with others about daily farm activities and works to troubleshoot production issuesPerforms other duties as assigned to function as a successful member of the Campus FarmReports to the Campus Farm ManagerMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:High School diploma or equivalentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Familiarity with small-scale farm operations and crop productionExperience with conducting research and data collectionKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to plan aheadAbility to read and write and understand and follow verbal and written instructions and directionsSkill and ability in the safe use and operation of a variety of farm equipment machinery implements and toolsAbility to multi-task and manage multiple projects and prioritiesAbility to work in a variety of climatic conditionsAbility and willingness to serve as a representative for the College by interacting appropriately with the public donors students potential students and College communityAbility to work within policies and procedures of FVCCAbility to maintain effective and positive professional relationships with faculty staff students and publicAbility to work effectively with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgroundsAbility to maintain regular and acceptable attendance levelsAbility to maintain a high degree of confidentialityAbility to pass a criminal background checkAbility to respond in the event of an emergencyThis is a Heavy Duty job according to the Selected Characteristics of Occupations Defined in the Revised Dictionary of Occupational Titles U.S. Department of Labor and Industry.
