Job Details Kalispell MT Part Time High School $14.00 - $15.50 Hourly TemporaryJob Description DEPARTMENT:Continuing EducationSTATUS AND SCHEDULE:Temporary to start April 2026 and may work up-to October 2026; part-time up-to 19 hours per week may work between Monday and Friday 8am to 5pm; will not work holidays; non-benefit eligibleFLSA:Hourly/Non-ExemptCLOSING:Open Until FilledSUMMARY:The Campus Farm Assistant Weekend/Evening Water supports the Campus Farm Manager by tending to The FVCC Campus Farm greenhouse and field crops throughout the spring and into the summer. Tasks primarily include but are not limited to watering greenhouse and field crops opening and closing of high tunnels and greenhouse and ensuring facilities are appropriately closed upon leaving.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Water greenhouse crops using a garden hoseWater field crops using simple irrigation systems and timers with the possibility of watering field crops by hand as neededOpening or closing of greenhouse doors and high tunnelsMay perform other duties as assignedWith The Campus Farm Manger create a working schedule that includes evenings weekends and non-traditional work hoursMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:High School diploma or equivalentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience working with greenhouse and field crops nursery work or other relatable work experienceKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to be flexible and work non-traditional working hoursAbility to learn on the job follow directions and communicate clearly with supervisorDemonstrate an understanding of the needs of greenhouse and field crops and the ability to make decisions independentlyPrior knowledge is preferred but not required.
