Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
As part of the Brighter, Stronger Foundation leadership team, the Summer Temp Onsite Autism Services Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of the organization’s mission, vision, and values during the summer program season.
This temporary leadership position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Onsite Autism and Related Services Program throughout the summer. The Supervisor will provide program oversight, staff supervision, and operational support to ensure clinical and administrative responsibilities are completed efficiently and effectively while maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for youth and families.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the daily operations of the department, including facilities, transportation, budgeting, and liaison with human resources, and staff management.
Program Services
- Manage the daily operations of the onsite autism program, including facilities, transportation coordination, staffing, scheduling, and operational support.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage, program continuity, and compliance with staffing requirements.
- Oversee and implement agency-approved therapeutic, recreational, and skill-building activities.
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain the summer activity calendar and daily program schedule.
- Utilize creativity and innovation to identify, develop, and implement fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities that support youth development, social interaction, emotional regulation, and skill-building.
- Participate as active member of the BSF internal Emergency Response Team
- Participates in weekly rotation of 24-hour on call responsibilities.
- Supervise and participate as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and support and guide client service delivery.
- Provide daily onsite coverage to program services
- Adheres to BSF’s policies and procedures, code of ethics and ensures program compliance with COMAR and CARF regulations.
- Oversee and enforce efficient and effective services through quality service delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
Recruitment
- Conduct interviews and make recommendations for new hires or transfer staff.
- Responsibilities include interviewing applicants of all levels, recommending for hire, and collaborating with supervisors to train employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Participate in the hiring process for new employees.
- Serve as programmatic liaison for BSF Internship/Volunteer programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Staff Performance Management
- Create, monitor, and adjust employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective program operations.
- Ensure staffing and scheduling align with program expectations, client needs, and operational requirements.
- Assign duties and monitor quality of work to ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and leadership support to staff.
- Monitor employee performance and ensure accountability to job expectations and agency standards.
- Support progressive discipline and staff accountability procedures when necessary.
- Monitor and approve staff documentation and service utilization as required.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment where staff feel supported and valued.
- Provide cross-departmental support during emergency situations when needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE AND NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Education, or a related field of study with five (5) years of related experience or
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Education, or a related field of study with five (3) years of related experience or
- At least two (2) years’ experience working in a Behavioral Health Care environment.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to actively listen.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills and ability to multi-task with keen attention to detail
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Solid relationship building capabilities with a positive and compassionate attitude.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.

- Must have knowledge of Internet and Google Suite
- Must be able to be trained in Electronic Medical Record software.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems is a plus.
