Exhibits integrityhonesty and attention to detail. Able to comply with the HIPAA standards regarding patientmedical records.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneEssential Duties/ResponsibilitiesType prescription labels accurately using the Pharmacy Computer systemReceive refill requests directly from patients or by telephone and document accuratelyDispense refill medication to patients and maintain refill documentsOperate cash register and handle transactions accuratelyUpdate 3rd party billing and allergy information from patients/customersFile new prescriptions and media treatment authorization requestsOther related duties and tasks as assignedQualifications Required Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge of 3rd party billing and Medi-CalExcellent oral and written communication skillsEffective interpersonal skillsBilingual in Spanish/EnglishAbility to multi-task work independently accurately and with minimum supervisionAbility to do math organize and prioritize workload work effectively and efficiently under stressAbility to supervise multitasks understand and follow instructionsAbility to proficiently read writes speak and understand EnglishEducation and ExperienceGraduate of approved high school or GED equivalentCurrent BLS certification obtained through the American Heart Association or American Red CrossBasic computer skills are required in order to perform basic data entryWorking Conditions/Physical RequirementsThis job operates in an office setting and requires frequent times of sitting standing repetitive motion and talkingAble to lift/move up to 40 pounds move from place to place and stand for long periods of timeDoes not involve contact with patients or patient specimens.
