The Temporary Director is also expected to oversee the day-to-day operation of the Student Conduct process and serve in the Deputy Title IX Coordinator role. This position has some weekend and evening commitments. This is a full-time position with an optional live-in housing arrangement and includes a meal plan when dining services are operational. This position is a designated by the institution as Essential Personnel and designated as Campus Security Authority (CSA).Responsibilities 1 - Directly responsible to hire, train, and supervise two Residence Hall Directors and one Administrative Assistant.2 - Design, create, and execute learning outcomes for both a residential programming curriculum and staff training/development.3 - Oversee the budget lines and budget forecasting related to Residence Life and Housing4 - Coordinate communication for the department through print, website, social media, and other electronic formats with students, parents, staff, and campus constituents5 - Coordinate openings and closings, oversee room furniture and key inventories, address and refer out maintenance concerns, create and manage emergency protocol response, participate in an on-call duty rotation, and handle other tasks relative to residence hall management.6 - Be the main liaison for the StarRez housing management system and work directly with StarRez and Technology Services to maintain the system. Manage and oversee all aspects of the room inventory system. Oversee the fee assessment process for all student housing charges, prepayments, fines, and refunds to the Bursars Office for the academic year and summer session.7 - Serve as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator reporting to the Title IX Coordinator and also serving as a College student conduct officer. Lead the day-to-day operation of the Student Conduct process8 - Serve as a Vice Chair on the Behavioral Intervention Team.9 - Performs related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications Educational RequirementsEducation and Experience;-Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field with at least five years of closely related field experience OR-Masters degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, or closely related field with at least three years of Higher Education experience or closely related field experience, preferably in housing or student conduct.Other Required Qualifications-Must possess a current valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review.-Must successfully pass a credit check.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities KNOWLEDGE-Knowledge of best practices in the field of residence life and housing.-Knowledge of student conduct best practices.-Knowledge of student development theory and practices.-Knowledge of personnel management principles.-Knowledge of budget management principles.-Knowledge of student life programming principles.-Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.SKILLS-Skill in the delegation of responsibility and authority.-Skill in collaborating with multiple constituents.-Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.-Skill in decision making and problem solving.-Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.-Skill in oral and written communication.Contact Information For more information or questions about a job posting, please contact the Department of Human Resources at (912) 279.5740, or by email at [email protected].
