Position Description:The Special Education Teacher (Learning Specialist/Case Manager) plans and implements an instructional program that fosters learning and growth for students with disabilities. The Special Education teacher creates a supportive learning environment that enables acquisition of skills and knowledge and guides students toward reaching their academic social intellectual and physical potential. Special Requirements:1. Masters Degree2. Current TSPC Licensure with Special Education endorsement.3. The ability to effectively work and communicate with students parents and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or background4. Strong ability for collaboration5. Strong interpersonal skills6. Knowledge of 2nd language acquisition7. Good communication skills written and oral8. Strong organizational and time management skills.9. The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District10 Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students staff or district patrons11.
