QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or equivalent.Valid Florida teaching certificate or valid Department of Education athletic coaching certificate.Valid FHSAA certification.Valid Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.Valid Florida Drivers License.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCoaching experience at the high school level.Experience mentoring youth and fostering a positive team culture.Familiarity with academic eligibility requirements for student-athletes.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge of the sports rules techniques and safety practices.Strong communication organization and leadership skills.Ability to collaborate with school staff parents and community partners.Ability to work evenings weekends and during school breaks as needed.Adoption: 10/07/2025ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSTypical duties include but are not limited to:Plan organize and conduct regular practice sessions.Develop and implement game strategies and tactics.Teach fundamental skills techniques and sports rules to student-athletes.Supervise student-athletes during practices games and school-sponsored trips.Monitor academic progress and support students in balancing athletics and academics.Promote discipline responsibility and good sportsmanship among players.Ensure compliance with school district and state athletic regulations.Manage and maintain team equipment and uniforms.Collaborate with the athletic director on scheduling budget and facility use.Maintain open communication with parents and guardians.Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes on personal development and college opportunities.Enforce all school policies and codes of conduct.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Adoption: 10/07/2025Additional Job InformationSupplemental Key Skills Campaigns,Data Entry,Christmas Temporary,Advocacy,Control Engineering Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
