Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary: Responsible for selling and servicing new and existing accounts. Primary responsibility is to manage a particular sales territory.Responsibilities: Maintains and grows existing customersGenerates a prospect list and develops it into additional customersResearch total potential list of clients and determine the overall value each account hasDevelops a call plan for each territory to maximize efforts with the priority defined in the overall value of each accountEstablishes a profile sheet for each customer to chart calls and monitor progress of goals of each accountIdentifies customers weekly who will be seen and establish an appointment with each of themSets objectives for each appointment, determined from the profile sheet used for that accountPosts itinerary at all times with the PDC receptionist of the branch reported toProvides a weekly summary call report list for the previous week to the Sales Manager for reviewProvides customer with service and support through the use of personal knowledge, co-worker specialists, PDC vendors, and other available toolsGenerates product and service inquiries from accounts that lead to quotes and orders for the services and products PDC sellsWorks with the Inside Sales staff to familiarize them with the customer contacts and the special needs of each of themProvides assistance to the Inside Sales staff when they have large quotes or projects to complete for an account in any individual territoryMonitors services, product groups and individual parts that customers repeatedly purchasePerforms other related duties as requiredRequired Qualifications: High school diploma or GEDTwo to three years of electrical industry experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience managing a territoryTwo years sales experience prospecting & generating leads through cold calling Personal computer literacy: Microsoft Office products, email, internet, etc.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, pro-rata, percentages, and volumePreferred Qualifications:Excellent verbal and written communications skills Independence skills: a self-starter with the ability to work efficiently on their ownTeam skills: a team player with the willingness to help others within the department, as well as within the companyAbility to organize and prioritize work
