Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Power Distributors, LLC is the Sales and Distribution arm for Briggs and Stratton, the leading manufacturer of air-cooled gasoline engines and parts for outdoor power equipment. Briggs and Stratton engines are incorporated into products for both the consumer market and industrial/commercial applications. We are also responsible for the sales and marketing of Briggs and Stratton Power Products including consumer and commercial generators, consumer and commercial pressure washers. Power Distributors also distributes Oregon Equipment Parts, Oregon Forestry products and several other allied parts lines.Power Distributors, LLC seeks a sales professional that can sell our products and services to independent lawn & garden dealers, rental accounts, industrial, hardware and retail accounts in multi-county area covering Southern California, the position would be based out of your home, ideally in the Irvine CA area to best cover the territory.As a Territory Sales and Service Manager, you will be responsible for contacting and developing sales leads, closing sales within a protected geographic territory. You will research markets, determine primary decision makers and make sales presentations to current and prospective customers.All Territory Sales and Service Managers have sales goals measured on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. Every month, an individual meeting is held with your Regional Manager (and other appropriate sales and marketing personnel) to review progress towards sales goals, new initiatives and sales campaigns.#ZRRequirements:Required Skills:Mechanical background in tangible products (especially lawn and garden equipment)Dealer development and management backgroundAbility and security to demonstrate outdoor power equipmentProspecting – cold and warm leadsWritten and verbal communication skills – the ability to articulate clearlyComputer literate using Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and CRM (SalesLogix)Good time management and organizational skillsClean driving record and comfortable towing a trailer with demo productsNavigate vehicle safely in assigned territory on a daily basis.Responsibilities:Maintenance, servicing and growth of our valued current customersWork with customer relationship management software in sales campaigns and on a daily basisInterface daily with Inside Sales department on all prospective customersEstablish contact with sales prospectsRapidly fill and maintain a lead pipeline for the sales prospectingFulfill expected customer contacts (appointments) at a rate of 6+ per dayIdeal Candidates will have:5+ years of sales experience in lawn and garden or industry related fieldExemplary verbal skills and be a team playerAbility to be self-motivated, multitask, & work within deadlinesProven record for lawn and garden, marine or small engine salesProduct LinesParts: Briggs & Stratton parts, engines and shortblocks (including Murray), Blount International (Carlton Forestry and Oregon OEP), Optimol, NGK Spark Plugs, Champion Spark Plugs, Kenda TiresWholegoods: Briggs & Stratton Portable Products (generators and pressure washers) and CORE Outdoor Power Industry-leading compensation and benefits package, including:Competitive base salary (paid bi-weekly), Uncapped commissions (paid monthly), Individual performance bonuses (paid quarterly)Laptop computer Health insurance and 401K planExceptional initial and ongoing sales training programSignificant advancement opportunities for outstanding performersAll position requirements are subject to reasonable modification to accommodate qualified individuals with disabilities.Some position requirements may exclude qualified individuals who pose a direct threat of significant risk to the health and safety of themselves or other employees.This description does not state or imply that these are the only duties to be performed by the person in this position.
