You may review modify or update your information by visiting and logging into the careers section of the system.Job Description:At Regions the Test Automation Engineer develops automated tests to validate the functionality of applications systems across various applications such as web mobile and mainframe.Primary ResponsibilitiesParticipates in developing acceptance criteria test design and automation recommendations in the early phases of the projectQualifies tests shortlisted for automation; influences teams to develop atomic and autonomous testsAutomates functional and API tests to validate production readiness of software applicationsIntegrates automated tests into Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelineIntegrates automated tests with Test Management tools to write test resultsDerives and conditions test data for automation using queries to database and APIsCreates training documentation and conducts knowledge transfer sessionsCollaborates and communicates effectively with various teams to achieve desired outcomesStays abreast of latest trends in Testing Automation industry and recommends ways to improve efficiency speed and reduce cost through research and innovationParticipates in PI planning sprint Planning and daily standup meetings with project /development teamsSupports automation testing needs of new projects infrastructure upgrades and application upgrades/enhancementsContributes to DevOps development activitiesServes as a subject matter expert acting as a coach and mentor to project teams and technical staff in the area of automation on their assigned project tasksMay perform manual testing of applicationsMaintains documentation for testing activities and casesCollaborates with peers to create parameters and comparison data for improved accuracyRemains abreast of trends in testing tools and strategiesAssists with complex testing projectsMay offer advice and guidance to junior analysts assisting in developing business/technical knowledge analytical skills and case managementThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.Requirements Bachelors degree and six (6) years of experience in test automation and/or software developmentPreferencesBachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Data Management Statistics Math or related fieldExperience creating relational database queries and analyzing dataExperience creating executing and maintaining industry standard test automation frameworks as well as planning estimating and reporting automation testing activitiesExperience using APIs (e.g. SOAP/REST) to get/post the required information from/to other interfacesExperience utilizing Power BI and CI/CD toolsExperience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologiesExperience with C# - NUnit RestSharp or Java TestNG RestAssured Postman as well as Bamboo GIT Artifactory JIRA and ConfluenceExperience with testing in containerized environments (e.g. Docker)Experience with various Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as C# Visual Studio Java Eclipse or IntelliJKnowledge of continuous integration continuous delivery and continuous testing practicesSkills and CompetenciesAbility to collaborate with other team members and teamsAbility to research analyze data and derive data-driven solutionsStrong problem-solving skillsStrong verbal written communication and organizational skillsStrong work ethic and self-motivationThis position is intended to be onsite now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position and relocation would be at your expense. Position TypeFull timeCompensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience skills knowledge contribution job location and most importantly performance in the job role.
