In this role you will document test scenarios automate test cases and learn to develop solutions that improve our test automation framework. A typical day might include reviewing automation runs and addressing failures documenting test cases to cover a new product or feature and creating new automated test cases. As a member of a scrum team your collaboration and contribution to the team will be critical to our success.The Gig:Document new and maintain existing Test Cases using Xray Test ManagementDevelop new and maintain existing Cucumber Test Scripts to sustain >80% automated test coverageExtend test coverage by documenting and automating test cases from production bugsAnalyze Runlists to identify long running steps or processes that can be tuned and optimizedParticipate in Test Case design and Test Planning discussions to maximize quality thinking and test coverageParticipate as a member of a Scrum Team holding yourself and your team mates accountable to commitments and daily progressWork through technical challenges with appropriate level of urgencyCollaborate with team mates to stay aligned on sprint goals and maintain steady flow of work (keep your goals clear and yourself unblocked)Work with Software Engineers across scrum teams to maintain consistent Test Engineering practicesPerform manual testing as neededUse software design principals to create maintainable and solid UI test scriptsEvangelize quality and test automation and support your team in these areasEstimate work and maintain predictable throughput toward sprint goalsWork in a highly interactive Agile team applying quality standards and processes to enable high quality feature delivery incrementallyProactively identify opportunities to improve and simplify the test automation frameworkIntegrate test automation with and maintain continuous integration and delivery across the environmentsWhat you need to make the cut:BS in Computer Science OR1-2 years experience Automating Tests for a SaaS productBasic understanding of Software as a ServiceStrong understanding of testing and quality practices such as Test Case documentation Test Plans Acceptance Testing Regression TestingTest Coverage Defect DetectionExposure to development and testing tools such as Xray HP Quality center TestRail Eclipse IDE Gitlab Selenium Postman and SoapUIBasic understanding of programming and scripting languages such as Java XML HTML CSS Javascript and Cucumber (Gherkin).Experience documenting and tracking project work within ALM tools such as Jira and Confluence.Experience working on a team of 5 or more software and test engineersBasic knowledge of Distributed Version Control Systems such as Git.Experience using LinuxExperience with benefits administration a plusAbility to balance priorities and manage time effectivelyEffective oral and written communication skillsExperience using MS Tools such as Teams Word Outlook Sharepoint PPT etc.Keen attention to detailStrong sense of ownership and personal accountabilityFollows tasks through to completionExperience with AWS docker Jest SQL and Liquibase a plusAbility to troubleshoot failing tests to determine root causeExperience scoping estimating and tracking test automation workUnderstanding of Agile and CI/CD practicesThe pay range for this position is $45200 to $70750 per year (pay to be determined by the applicants education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity and alignment with market data).This role is eligible to participate in the bonus incentive plan.Other Compensation: If this position is full-time or part-time benefit eligible you will receive a comprehensive benefits package which can be viewed here: Applicant.At Businessolver we take our responsibility to protect our clients employees and company seriously and that begins with the hiring process.Our approach is thoughtful and thorough.
