Test Engineer at OSI Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Engineer to join a leading Global Automotive Company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test engineering, hands-on experience conducting component and system-level testing, and the ability to apply engineering principles to ensure the performance, feasibility, and compliance of automotive parts and components. This will be 4 days onsite Responsibilities Develop detailed test plans and procedures for components and systems within the assigned specialty area. Set up and prepare test equipment, fixtures, and data settings according to testing requirements. Conduct moderately complex tests to validate design feasibility and confirm that parts/components meet performance targets, design acceptance criteria, regulatory requirements, and internal standards. Create and manage test specifications, standards, and schedules to support project timelines. Analyze and interpret test data to evaluate performance, predict failures, and identify trends or potential issues. Document and summarize test results, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and completeness in written reports and formal presentations. Recommend design improvements, countermeasures, and corrective actions based on test findings and engineering analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to communicate test results and support product development activities. Ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of testing, determining when additional testing is required to validate results. Qualifications 5+ years of test engineering experience, with demonstrated expertise in test planning, execution, and analysis within a technical or automotive environment. BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) In lieu of a degree, 6 years of directly related experience may be considered. Strong understanding of engineering principles, test methodologies, and analytical tools. Ability to interpret complex technical data and provide actionable insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentations. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop countermeasures and propose design changes.
