Test Engineering Supervisor

Kelly Engineering is seeking a Test Engineering Supervisor for a direct-hire opportunity with a global manufacturer of advanced automotive service equipment located in the St. Louis, Missouri area.

Compensation $90,000 $110,000

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Test Engineers and Test Technicians.
  • Coordinate testing priorities, resources, and project schedules across multiple development programs.
  • Monitor testing progress and ensure milestones align with product release timelines.
  • Support validation efforts involving mechanical systems, electrical systems, software functionality, and end-user usability.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify product issues, improve reliability, and enhance customer experience.
  • Drive process improvements that increase testing efficiency, consistency, and overall team effectiveness.
  • Communicate project status, testing results, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Serve as a technical resource supporting troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and product evaluation activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Automotive Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Previous experience leading, supervising, or managing technical employees, including responsibility for coaching, performance management, and employee development.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with machinery, equipment, vehicles, electromechanical systems, or industrial products.
  • Ability to understand how physical products operate, fail, and are repaired.
  • Experience in testing, product validation, manufacturing, quality, product development, or related engineering disciplines is preferred.
  • Automotive, heavy equipment, industrial machinery, diesel engine, aerospace, or similar industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
