Test & Evaluation Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level)Company:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is hiring a Test & Evaluation Engineer who will work as part of the Production Test team on the Space Launch System (SLS) Core Stage (CS) and Exploration Upper Stage (EUS) based at the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans LA.This position will support the program throughout all stages of production to ensure successful build and test of the Core Stage and EUS assemblies. Position will include tasks such as test planning procedure development conducting tests of system and subsystem assemblies leak testing of propulsion systems Special Test Equipment (STE) maintenance and utilization and troubleshooting non-conforming hardware.Come join a great team at the Michoud Assembly Facility where the Space Launch System is being built. Be part of the team testing and delivering Americas Rocket.Some travel may be required between New Orleans LA Titusville FL and Huntsville AL.BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Mid-Level Test & Evaluation Engineers.Position Responsibilities Include:Gathering and analyzing test requirementsDevelopment of test procedures instrumentation and configuration definition to perform testsPerforms data analysis develops and uses data processing toolsVerifies collection of complete data setMaintains test logs prepares simple test reports and archives dataWorks under general directionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement1 years of experience conducting test in a lab or production environment1 years of experience with Avionics/Electrical Systems and/or Propulsion Fluid Dynamics Leak Testing or Pneumatic Panel OperationsWilling and able to work in confined spacesAbility to support frequent standing walking lifting and working at heights with or without equipment assistancePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Level 3: 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)Experience in space-based Avionics/Electrical Systems and Propulsion system testingExperience with leak testing or operation of pneumatic panelsExperience with NASA customerDrug Free Workplace:Boeingis a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.NASA Access:This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
