Test & Evaluation Engineer (Lead or Senior)Company:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is seeking a Test and Evaluation Engineer in Huntsville AL. Titusville FL. New Orleans LA. Kenney Space Center FL. or Stennis Space Center MS. to support development/risk reduction and qualification test activities for the NASA Space Launch System (SLS) Program. The position will lead and support the design and definition of all the aspects involved in the execution of our development/risk reduction or qualification tests.The Boeing Test & Evaluation Organization executes a strategy of obtaining the best team talent and leaders by creating an open and inclusive working environment. We are testing the next generation of deep space rockets for exploration back to the moon and onto Mars.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Lead and Senior Level Test and Evaluation Engineers.Position Responsibilities:Acts as the Deputy Test Director for the EUS Wet Dress Rehearsal and Hot Fire test to be performed at Stennis Space Center MS Temporary Assignment required if based in AL or FL.Leads a multifunction team of test engineers and Subject Matter Experts (SME)Develops and documents standardized test methods and processes to ensure repeatability and productivityLeads the development of test procedures to incorporate vehicle and system maturity updates while ensuring test maintenance requirements and verification objectives are metApplies lessons learned to the improvement of test proceduresGuides others in the design of test hardware software and systems to achieve the test requirementsOversees debriefing of the test teamLeads the analysis processing and formatting of data to customer requirementsApproves test data prior to delivery to customerFormulates expectations for test data based on historical dataPerforms functions as required to ensure calibration system readiness and data validityResponsible for training of cross-functional support team members in preparations for integrated vehicle testingWorks under minimal directionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement7 years of experience in complex test planning development and execution3 years of experience working directly on vehicles with Cryogenic Propulsion Systems (RS-68 SSME RS-25 RL-10 J-2X RD-180 etc)Experience with system level testing of flight vehicle main propulsion thrust vector control and avionics systemsExperience interfacing with senior and executive leadershipEngineering related experience interfacing with customersWilling to travel domestically as neededPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Level 5: 10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with integrated ground and flight command control and communication systems.Experience with cryogenic propellant loading operations; all phases (e.g. tank detanking replenish revert stop flow topping etc.)Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.NASA Access:This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
