Test & Evaluation Technical Services Specialist (Associate or Mid-level)Company:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is looking for a Test & Evaluation Technical Services Specialist (Associate or Mid-level) to join our team in North Charleston SC. This role will perform test asset management and ensure that the testing engineers technicians and mechanics have the measurement test equipment when addition this will role ensures the equipment is certified and ready for testing. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Mid-level Test and Evaluation Technical Services Specialist.Metrology And Test Equipment Services (MATES) provides a full spectrum of test asset and metrology services and support for internal customers and products through all phases of the product lifecycle. Services include: calibration/certification for dimensional/optics electrical/electronic and mechanical/physical measurement and test assets sourcing management measurement solutions repair & maintenance test asset selection and use acquisition allocation resource and lifecycle management and specialized test services.MATES is comprised of engineers technicians and administrative personnel who support programs sites business units and external/government customers by providing best value test asset management and metrology services through all phases of the product lifecycle. What is metrology Metrology is the science of measurement. MATES is responsible for establishing an unbroken chain of measurement traceability from the point of application to internationally recognized standards quantities values or reference materials. Applied metrology at Boeing ensures that measurement standards materials or equipment used to apply or determine measurement quantities are defined repeatable reproducible and traceable.Position Responsibilities:Receive and ship measurement and test equipment in support of business partnersUpdate equipment status using established systems and complete associated recordsPrioritize and perform work according to automated daily reports hot list or as assigned by lead functionPerform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wearIdentify document and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processesProvide information and clarification to customers on metrology and test asset management processesWork with employees engaged in the calibration and certification of M&TEPerform computations necessary to analyze asset data (Logistics availability performance/ reliability etc.)Perform logistics associated with routing calibrated assets to remote Boeing labs and suppliers for calibration servicesPerform review and certification of calibration certificates provided by Boeing approved calibration suppliersPerform tasks associated with Test Asset Management and Property Management including asset tagging redeployment storage and surplusCoordinates with others to plan product testing estimate test support requirements and ensure availability of test equipment materials fixtures and vehiclesMaintain test documentation that supports regulatory requirementsWork under general supervisionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):1 years of experience in asset management1 years of experience in shipping and receiving1 years of experience working with Microsoft Office SuiteWilling and able to work overtime if neededCapable of lifting pushing and pulling up to 35 poundsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Level 3: 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAssociates degree or higherTechnical/Technology degree in the areas of math science engineering metrologyKnowledge of calibrated M&TE assets used in engineering test measurement and productionExperience in project managementExperience in inventory managementKnowledge of aerospace industryDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Union: This is a non-union represented position.Shift:This role is primarily first shift; however there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
