Test Project ManagerJob LocationsUS-CA-NewarkID2025-17636OverviewElement has an opportunity for a Test Project Manager. The position is a direct hands-on test support role for Environmental and Mechanical Dynamics and will also include working alongside the Project Management team for scheduling and technical liaison to assigned clients. The Test Project Manager has daily responsibility to technically supervise testing operations and give clear technical guidance as necessary across a wide range of the laboratory's testing capabilities. Salary: $80-120K/year ResponsibilitiesProvide onsite project leadership and test executionPlan, schedule, organize and perform a range of environmental and mechanical dynamics testsMaintain transparent communications with customers to build strong relationships and foster trustInterpret specifications/standards to ensure correct application to testingReview and develop procedures for testing and/or sample preparationProactively manages risk and advises customers on preferred test practicesBalances customer schedule expectations with internal resources to achieve deliverablesPrepare and lead customer meetings and presentations, ensuring communication of challenges, bottlenecks and potential risks to Customer ServiceDetermine the needs of your customers, and implement procedures to ensure that they receive premium customer service and increased customer satisfactionProvides specific guidance on testing complexitiesEquipment setup and program changesLiaise with customers, other departments, Test Engineers, and Test TechniciansAttend meetings where technical requirements are discussedAssist in test equipment setup to meet industry standards and/or customer requirements. Equipment setup may involve physical setups, custom fixture design and creation, as well as control program modificationsParticipate in Continuous Improvement initiatives including 5S and Operational ExcellenceSkills / QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering/similar discipline or commensurate with experience and educationUnderstanding of engineering qualification projectsSignificant experience of physical environmental testing/specifications relating to:VibrationShockTemperature and humidityAltitudeSalt spray (fog)HALTIngress protectionAirborne contaminationComputer literacy, including MS Office applications experienceDemonstrates the ability to work efficiently and be flexible under pressureA personable, professional individual with a passion for engineeringExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to develop relationships to all levels of the business and with customersAbility to plan, organize and manage work within the defined area of responsibilityAbility to apply logical reasoning and thinking analyticallyAnalytical problem-solving skillsAbility to support the training of others to a high technical standardFamiliarity with national and international testing standards#LI-TF1Company OverviewElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
