Come join the leader in advanced EV batteries! www.lgenergymi.com Summary:In this role, you will provide engineering support to safely complete assigned tasks on time while following specific procedures and processes to perform the required testing. Responsibilities:Design/set-up/perform a variety of tests according to customer specifications and requirementsPerform daily maintenance and calibration of equipment and tooling to ensure operational availability and functionalityExamine components according to specified standards and repair units or products that do not meet the requirementsPerform and assist with calibration of equipment and preventive maintenance of test equipmentCollaborate with engineers in designing or setting up test proceduresEnsure equipment is working properly and able to test the performance of prototypes, new, and existing cellsSummarize test results using Microsoft Excel and WordCollaborate with test engineers to review results and document any irregularities or inconsistenciesTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues encountered during testing and assemblyProvide meaningful and accurate data to the engineersMaintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, SustainRight Location, Right Quantity, Right ContainerFollow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area Perform other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredVocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experienceExperience:1 to 3+ years of experience as a test technician and/or possessing an Associate Degree or higher in the battery field Experience with instrumentation and data collection Skills:Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support entire production teamProficient in MS Office SuitePlanning and organizational skillsEffective and efficient time managementStrong attention to detail Creative, innovative, and solutions-orientedProblem solving and critical thinking skillsProficient in the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other basic instruments Report writing and document analysis skillsTechnically proficient and motivated to continuously improvePhysical:Must be able properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hoursSafety glassSteel-toed shoesClean room suitLift/push/pull up to 50 poundsStoop, twist, bendReach overheadSit and/or stand ClimbBenefits Overview:100% employer paid Medical, Dental, and Vision premium for you and your family100% employer-paid disability and life insuranceEmployer supported childcare/babysitting programsGenerous Paid Time Off / HolidaysOpportunity to grow in diverse work environment with a global company401k Retirement savings and planning with generous company matchLGESMI is an Equal Opportunity employer that values the diversity of its workforce.
