The Sweeterie Pastry Intern - Summer 2026
Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park.
The Pastry Intern is responsible for completing regular daily food production in support of The Sweeterie Confectionary Kitchen and Milton's Ice Cream Parlor. Job Duties:
- Prepare all assigned baking and pastry processes following recipe and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and station on a daily basis; maintain standards of good personal hygiene and proper uniform guidelines.
- Check quality of food items needed for daily mise en place, practicing proper rotation (FIFO) and prep levels.
- Complete designated prep levels with consistency and without sacrificing food quality; maintain a high standard of food quality with demonstrated efficiency in the utilization of products to control food products.
- Accept leadership and direction in order to carry out assigned tasks for the good of the team. Demonstrate fellowship skills within work group or station partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be enrolled in a pastry arts program or have one year of experience working in a full production bakery
- Completion of high school or GED
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.
- Displays and understands basic pastry skills and has solid baking techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively as a team player with supervisors, employees and customers.
Job Demands:
- Company coordinated housing may be available for this opportunity depending on start date and availability.
- This program is available no sooner than mid-April 2026 and available through August 2026.
