Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBenefits:Flexible schedule Therapeutic Mentors provide direct care services to individuals in our programs whom have exhibited a need for behavioral support, skills training, and goal oriented interventions designed to assist with pro-social skills development for youth, or with family-centered parenting skills for adults and families. Our team implements behavioral activities in the home, school and community settings.Mentors are expected to take the lead in supporting youth and families through ongoing one-on-one, and/or group services. Their role is to:Serve as a positive role model and support partnerProvide effective guidance and skill building techniquesBuild positive relationship by planning and participating in activities togetherBuild self-esteem and encourage personal motivation for youth and adultsAssist in goal-setting and set objectives for goal attainmentAdvocate for youth and their familyTeam Requirements:Be at least 18 years oldHave experience with adolescent youth and/or familiesAttend required training sessionsAbility to deliver effective, evidence-based, behavioral interventions applicable to individual service plansBe able to adhere to all program policies and proceduresBe dependable and adhere to time commitmentsBe able to communicate regularly with program staff, submit activity reports, and plan and implement interventions that align with mentee objectives and goalsBe available to work with mentees a minimum of three days a week, including after school hours and weekendsBe willing to travel up to 50 miles; licensed driver in good standingHave a clean criminal history
