Your commitment helps us meet critical service needs, and we’re excited to have you be a part of our mission!Support Youth in Recovery Through Counseling and ConnectionCompass Health Network is seeking a licensed therapist or certified substance use counselor to join our adolescent Substance Use Recovery team. In this impactful office-based role, you’ll provide individual and group counseling to clients ages 9–17, helping them and their families build recovery-focused strategies that improve daily functioning and overall quality of life.This position includes facilitating 2–3 hours of group sessions per week, in addition to individual sessions and treatment planning. You’ll also play a key role in collecting and processing urine drug screens, an essential accountability tool in the recovery process.This is a great opportunity for someone who:Is passionate about working with youth and families facing substance use and co-occurring challengesEnjoys facilitating both individual and group counseling sessionsIs comfortable in a structured treatment environment with clear clinical and compliance expectationsAppreciates the importance of building strong therapeutic alliances while maintaining accountabilityIs looking to grow clinically, whether as a newly licensed therapist or an experienced certified counselorWants to be part of a team that values empathy, collaboration, and high-quality careKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver individual and group therapy for adolescents with substance use disorders and their familiesPerform the 12 Core Functions of substance use counseling per Missouri Credentialing Board (MCB) standards:Screening, intake, orientation, assessment, education, referral, record keeping, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, and consultationFacilitate group counseling sessions (2–3 hours per week)Complete all required documentation (paper and electronic) within established timeframesParticipate in treatment team meetings and interdisciplinary staffingsSupport internal audits and external compliance reviewsCollect and process urine drug screens and maintain proper documentationAbide by ethical standards set by MCB and Compass Health Network policiesMaintain productivity expectations and caseload standardsRespond effectively to clients in crisis when necessaryRequirements, Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree preferred (experience in lieu of education will be considered)At least two (2) years of relevant experience preferredCertified through the Missouri Credentialing Board:CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, or QAP ORProvisionally or fully licensed in Missouri:PLPC, LPC, PLMFT, LMFT, LMSW, or LCSWYou’ll be a great fit if you’re someone who:Connects well with youth and understands the unique challenges of adolescent substance useBrings empathy, patience, and cultural responsiveness to every client interactionValues family involvement and understands the importance of whole-system supportHas strong group facilitation skills and is confident leading youth-centered therapeutic groupsMaintains professionalism and boundaries while fostering trust and safetyIs detail-oriented with documentation and responsive to compliance standardsThrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving needs and collaborative team dynamics*Retention bonuses paid as per bonus policy; exclusions may apply.
