JOB DESCRIPTION

Tig Welder - Sheet Metal/Aluminum

Utilize various welding techniques to fabricate components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Assemble fabricated components into larger structures, ensuring proper alignment and fit. Inspect finished workpieces to verify conformance to quality standards, making necessary adjustments as required. Perform regular maintenance on welding equipment to ensure its optimal functioning. Work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to address production requirements and resolve any fabrication-related issues. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any quality control measures implemented.

1st shift is 6am to 4:30pm & 2nd shift is 4pm to 2:30am Monday to Friday. Pay is $25 to $30 an hour. Full benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, 401k and weekly pay).

Responsibilities

  • Fit, weld, and clean welds using various techniques.
  • Assemble components into larger structures with precision.
  • Inspect and adjust finished workpieces to meet quality standards.
  • Perform maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to address production needs.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of working experience in welding and fabrication.
  • TIG welding experience is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience in fabrication and working with sheet metal, pipe, and tube - all stainless steel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • MIG welding experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with gauge 18 up to 1/4 inch thick materials.
  • Basic tools and own welding gear are required, with a 30-day allowance to acquire them if not already owned.

Work in a spacious 55,000 sq ft, non-airconditioned facility featuring open bays and large fans to maintain airflow. The environment caters to various assembly processes, including small parts, standard assembly on the same machine setup, and volume assembly across multiple machines.

This is a Permanent position based out of Clearwater, FL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
