Mountain View Academy is seeking a dedicated, passionate full-time assistant teacher to join our supportive team.At Mountain View Academy, we believe in collaborative learning environments inspired by Reggio Emilia. Our classrooms feature 3-teacher teams, ensuring ample support and personalized attention for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work alongside an assistant teacher and a lead teacher, contributing and helping plan to facilitate a nurturing and stimulating environment. Our school is open year round with operating hours of Monday-Friday 7:30AM-5:30PM.Your Role:As an Assistant Toddler Teacher, youll support lead teachers in creating a playful, safe, and engaging environment for children ages 15-36 months. Youll build positive relationships, foster independence, and encourage exploration through open-ended materials, nature, storytelling, music, movement, and more.Responsibilities:Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing play-based, developmentally appropriate activitiesSupervise and engage with children during free play, group time, outdoor play, and routinesPromote children's social and emotional development through modeling, guidance, and encouragementAssist with daily routines such as snack, diapering/toileting, and cleanupMaintain a safe, tidy, and nurturing classroom environmentCommunicate positively with children, families, and team membersQualifications:Must hold at least a Level 2 credential in PDIS (completed ECE coursework or relevant degree)Experience working with young children (center, home, or informal setting)Warm, patient, and playful personalityPassion for early childhood education and belief in child led learningWillingness to learn and collaborate as part of a teamMust meet state licensing requirements (health clearances, etc.) and eligible to work in the United StatesWhat we offer:Competitive Salary & Sign-on bonus - $500 (after 60-day introductory period)A supportive and joyful work environmentOngoing professional development and mentorshipOpportunities for growth within a values-driven organizationPaid time off, health, dental, vision after introductory periodScheduled closures/holidays throughout the yearSalary Range: $39,040 - $44,896/yearThis is a full time, full year position.
