Join our dynamic and growing team at Water Lily Learning Center OTR.We are hiring a Lead Toddler Teacher to guide toddlers through a critical period of language, motor, and emotional development. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in child development, curriculum implementation, and classroom management, with a deep understanding of toddler behavior, routine, and learning styles. Youll create a safe, predictable environment that encourages exploration, builds independence, and supports whole-child growth.Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Development: Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum, aligned with Ohios 2024 Early Learning and Development Standards.Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, organized, and nurturing toddler environment with clear transitions, routines, and sensory-rich activities.Assessment & Documentation: Conduct ongoing observations and assessments using DCY-approved tools, documenting developmental milestones and sharing updates with families.Family Engagement: Communicate regularly with families, building strong relationships through daily reports, conferences, and partnership.Professional Growth: Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain a current understanding of best practices in toddler care and education.Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with all Department of Children and Youth (DCY) licensing requirements and Step Up to Quality standards.QualificationsEducation: Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.Experience: At least 3 years of experience working with toddlers in a licensed child care center, including prior lead teacher experience.Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications; all DCY-required clearances.Skills:Knowledge of toddler development and age-appropriate curriculumAbility to manage behavior and support emotional regulationStrong communication, organization, and team leadership skillsProficiency with digital platforms used in early learning (e.g., Brightwheel)Why Join Us?Competitive Salary and Benefits: $18$24/hour based on experience and credentials; full health, dental, and retirement packagesProfessional Growth: Opportunities for advancement, mentorship, and paid trainingSupportive Environment: A collaborative and child-focused workplaceWork-Life Balance: Predictable schedules and flexibility for personal well-beingImpact: Play a vital role in nurturing toddlers during one of the most important stages of early development
