Classroom DutiesGuide and encourage students with daily activities, transitions, and supervision.Plan with games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and other learning experiences.Help maintain a safe, orderly, and nurturing classroom environment.Provide age-appropriate care, including feeding, dressing, and diapering.Support children’s hygiene and healthy habits through modeling and instruction.Build respectful, caring relationships with children and staff.QualificationsExperience working with young children preferred.Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and age groups.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Commitment to Christian values and early childhood education.Work Environment & Physical DemandsAn active preschool setting with frequent interaction with children.Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, and lift to 40 lbs.Visual acuity required for driving and classroom supervision.Requirements:Required Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentMeet HHS minimum education and experience requirementsPreferred Education and ExperiencePrior teaching experienceAdditional Eligibility QualificationsMeet minimum age, education, background check and medical qualifications for caregivers established by DFPS LicensingComplete annual training required by DFPS LicensingMaintain Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certificationsTransporting children, a Class C driver's license with a clear Department of Public Safety record, and two hours of transportation training annually is required.
