Duties:Help provide a safe nurturing and engaging environment for young childrenSupport lead teachers with daily activities and classroom supervisionFoster the YMCAs core values of honesty respect responsibility and caringAssist with implementing curriculum and guiding structured and free play activitiesPromote positive behavior and help maintain classroom routinesAttend to childrens basic needs including meals rest and outdoor playParticipate in staff meetings trainings and family engagement eventsRequirements:18 years oldHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCDA credential or equivalent preferredCompletion of DCF MODS (Introductory Child Care Training Parts 1 & 2)1 year of experience working with children in a developmental settingAble to work with infants toddlers and young children both indoors and outdoorsPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit stand walk bend talk hear and lift up to 40 lbsMust be comfortable participating in activities and engaging physically with childrenVision requirements include close/distance vision depth perception and focus adjustmentPay & Perks: Full-time $14.75$20.00/hour (based on experience). Schedule is Monday through Friday.
