What Does a Day in the Life Look Like?
- Repair, maintain, develop, and build stamping dies
- Apply GD&T to component and frame assembly drawings
- Understand all tooling stage operations to identify and correct quality concerns
- Implement engineering and customer changes
- Perform tooling repairs due to bad hits, double hits, and setup issues
- Execute tooling changeovers to support different part production
- Spot tools to ensure proper metal fit
- Use circle grid analysis to reduce material stretch and eliminate breakage
- Maintain tooling nitrogen systems
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts inventory to reduce downtime
- Identify tool steels and perform heat treatment when required
- Maintain and troubleshoot die transfer systems
- Support blank feeders, unloaders, and power feeds
- Understand hydraulic and pneumatic systems for locating and clamping
- Safely operate powered tools, hand tools, forklifts, cranes, and moving equipment
What You Will Bring (Academic & Experience Requirements)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Candidates must complete onsite technical assessments in Trigonometry, Blueprint Reading, and Machine/Tool Equipment during the interview process, achieving a minimum score of 75%
- Minimum of 3-5 years of journeyman machinist / Tool & Die experience
- Strong understanding of die stamping processes
- Knowledge of welding tool steels for repair (preferred)
- Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Lockout / Tagout training
Compensation & Shift Details
- Hourly Rate: $40.18/hour with Shift Differential for 2nd & 3rd shift
- Relocation Bonus: Provided for candidates living 50+ miles from Hopkinsville, KY
- Shifts Hiring: 2nd (2pm to 10pm) & 3rd (10pm to 6am)
