By connecting with Pivot Group you position yourself for roles that match your background and aspirations. Key Responsibilities Design build and repair precision tools dies jigs and fixtures. Interpret blueprints schematics and 3D models to determine tool specifications. Operate conventional and CNC machinery (lathes mills grinders EDMs) to fabricate tool components. Perform precise measurements using calipers micrometers gauges and CMMs to ensure dimensional accuracy. Conduct preventative maintenance troubleshooting and repair of production tooling. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tool performance and design. Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for tool longevity and performance. Recommended Qualifications Completion of a recognized Tool & Die Maker apprenticeship or vocational program. Proficiency in operating conventional machining equipment including lathes mills grinders and EDMs. Ability to accurately read and interpret complex blueprints schematics and technical drawings. Expertise in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers calipers height gauges and bore gauges. Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. Proven experience in troubleshooting repairing and maintaining various tools dies jigs and fixtures.
