These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Design fabricate and assemble precision tools dies jigs fixtures and gauges. Operate conventional and CNC machine tools (e.g. lathes mills grinders EDM) to achieve required tolerances. Interpret complex engineering blueprints CAD models and technical specifications for tool construction and repair. Perform routine maintenance troubleshooting and repair of existing production tooling to minimize downtime. Conduct precision measurements using metrology equipment (e.g. micrometers calipers CMM) to ensure tool quality and accuracy. Select appropriate materials heat treatments and surface finishes for tooling applications. Collaborate with engineering production and quality teams to resolve tooling issues and optimize manufacturing processes. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience as a Tool Maker or in a precision machining role. Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machine tools (mills lathes grinders EDM). Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints schematics and GD&T. Expertise in using precision measuring instruments (e.g. micrometers calipers height gauges). Solid understanding of various metal properties heat treatment processes and tooling materials. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD/CAM software. Experience in CNC programming and setup. TIG/MIG welding experience for tool repair. Familiarity with advanced metrology equipment (e.g. CMM).
