Key Responsibilities Design fabricate and modify precision tools dies jigs and fixtures. Operate and program a range of manual and CNC machine tools (e.g. lathes mills grinders EDM). Interpret blueprints CAD models and technical specifications to ensure accurate tool production. Perform preventative maintenance and repair on existing production tooling to minimize downtime. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify tool accuracy and functionality. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience as a Tool Maker Die Maker or similar precision machinist. Proficiency in operating and setting up manual and CNC machine tools (e.g. mills lathes grinders EDMs). Ability to accurately read and interpret complex engineering blueprints schematics and GD&T. Expertise in using a wide range of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques. Strong understanding of metallurgy tooling materials and heat treatment processes. Aptitude for precision fitting assembly troubleshooting and repair of intricate tooling.
