Oversee the maintenance repair and refurbishment of production tooling to ensure operational readiness. Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related production issues minimizing downtime and improving efficiency. Implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling performance cost reduction and extended lifespan. Collaborate with design production and quality teams to define tooling requirements for new products and processes. Manage tooling projects from concept through validation including vendor selection and budget control. Conduct tool trials validations and first article inspections to ensure tooling meets specifications and quality standards. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field. X years of experience in tooling design fabrication or maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA Mastercam) for design and analysis. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding stamping CNC machining or assembly. Demonstrated knowledge of GD&T materials science and tooling standards. Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced metrology and inspection techniques. Proficiency in FEA or other simulation software for tool performance analysis. Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Familiarity with additive manufacturing processes for tooling applications.
