JOB DESCRIPTION
Tractor Trailer Driver
The Tractor Trailer Driver position is responsible for transporting, delivering, and retrieving assorted construction and heavy equipment. This role supports the needs of the branch in a professional, safe, and timely manner. The individual will operate both commercial and non-commercial vehicles efficiently and safely, maintaining high standards of quality within and outside the branch.
Responsibilities
- Transport, deliver, and retrieve assorted construction and heavy equipment.
- Operate commercial and non-commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Promote professionalism and maintain an excellent customer service attitude.
- Perform vehicle inspections before and after pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure delivery documents are properly maintained and available for inspection.
- Apply driving skills to navigate difficult locations, heavy traffic, inclement weather, and tight loading dock areas.
- Secure equipment using proper methods in accordance with DOT policies.
- Communicate delivery schedules with Branch Manager and/or central dispatch.
- Observe safety rules and regulations at customer job sites and facilities.
- Provide training assistance to customers regarding the safe operation of vehicles, tools, or machinery.
- Report any damage to property or accidents to the Branch Manager or Central Dispatch.
- Report delays due to breakdowns, weather, or traffic conditions.
- Maintain flexibility to respond to management's customer demands.
- Ensure paperwork and logs are accurately maintained daily.
Essential Skills
- Ability to operate large, heavy machinery.
- Ability to secure loads safely.
- Customer service skills.
- Commercial Driver's License, Class A, with tanker endorsement.
- Minimum of 2 years of tractor trailer driving experience within the last three years.
- Current medical card.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
- Hazmat endorsement must be obtained within 120 days of employment; assistance provided.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $66560.00/yr.
