Job Title: Trade Compliance LeadJob Code: 31460Job Location: Rochester NY or Arlington VAJob Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday offJob Description:The Lead Trade Compliance will be responsible for Trade Compliance matters within the Tactical Communications (TCOM) Systems Sector of the Communication Systems (CS) role will support enforcement of trade compliance policies processes and procedures.The role will coordinate with the Licensing Operations & Training and Customs & Traffic Directorates to ensure the development and execution of compliant business includes but is not limited to advising on the interpretation of USG trade laws/regulations for export approvals training content and requirements for the appropriate action and required documentation for the physical export and/or import of all commodities. This position must coordinate closely with other stakeholders in the pursuit of international sales opportunities. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Trade ComplianceEssential Functions: Review and approve all DoS license applications for the business prior to submissionReview and approve ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptionsCoordinate with product management and technical trade to ensure the sector is providing the USG the necessary details related to our licensable productsManage and track all DoS license approvalsProvide TC guidance to other team members and the businessProvide recordkeeping of export licenses and provide budgetary numbers to accountingAuthor DSP-5 Tech Data Letters for electronic exportsReview and approve all new consultants distributors representative agreementsParticipating in Insider Threat Program PanelPrepares reviews and manages export authorizations and recordsStrong sense of accountability and responsibilitySupport and maintain a collaborative transparent and positive culture within both the TCOM sector.Keen judgment discretion and ability to maintain confidential information.Strong interpersonal skills and effective oral communication skillsAbility to work independently and perform duties with minimum supervision or direction while remaining a team playerAbility to obtain US Secret Security ClearanceQualifications:Bachelors Degree with 9 years prior experience Graduate Degree with 7 years prior lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.Minimum 5 years of experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)Minimum 5 experience with U.S. trade sanctions program to include Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)Preferred Additional Skills:Ability to interpret USG laws/regulations and assess risk management aspectsExperience with OCR EASEMust possess excellent communications skillsTeam player proactive self-motivated highly organized ability to handle shifting prioritiesCommunicate effectively and professionally (both orally and in writing) at all levels of the organizationMake decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies procedures appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulationsExercise discretion and independent judgement in the performance of duties and tasks assignedIn compliance with pay transparency requirements thesalary range for this role in Colorado state Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota New York state Cleveland Ohio and Vermont is $86000 $159500.
