Trade Compliance PM Governance, Global Trade Controls and Oversight, AWS Compliance & Security Assurance at Amazon

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced Global Trade Compliance Program Manager to build upon our controls and oversight program and support our expanding business on a broad range of global import and export compliance matters. This role will have a heavy focus on leveraging technology and data to scale internal validations. The team member in this role will build a best in class internal review program. You will interact with AWS Development Datacenter Engineering AWS Services Operations Procurement Supply Chain Legal Tax and other internal businesses and external stakeholders to drive trade compliance. This position will report to the Manager of Global Trade Controls and Oversight for AWS in Arlington VA. AWS is at the forefront of providing a broad set of global cloud-based services including compute storage databases networking analytics deep Machine learning robotics and enterprise applications to help organizations move faster lower IT costs and scale. GTPC is responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure equipment necessary to support the AWS services are imported/exported in a compliant manner across the multiple countries where AWS operates and will expand. Key job responsibilitiesIdentifies and define a plan of action to advance AWS internal validations program. Build communications and training plans to ensure all internal and external partners are aware and aligned to trade controls and risk mitigation.Manage global import/export regulatory or procedural changes that impact the trade compliance governance program. Clearly communicate the changes and associated impact on the trade compliance program to stakeholders.Build and maintain data-informed metrics and monitor for actionable insights that enhance the trade controls program.Establish and manage positive business relations with key stakeholders and business teamsGenerate and contribute to performance requirements timelines and metrics for all related activities.Proactively identify and drive automation simplification and process improvement initiatives Build and maintain a strict adherence to reporting and assessments About the teamDiverse ExperiencesAmazon Security values diverse experiences. The base pay for this position ranges from $91800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $196300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
