Vitols Middle Office function couples a dynamic and challenging work environment with a team eager for growth learning and career development. The Middle Office is comprised of distinct and critical roles that support Economic Operational Legal and Regulatory health of our Commercial activities.As a Trade Settlements Analyst you will develop an in-depth knowledge of how Vitol operates its businesses along with valuable experience and skills related to the complete trade life-cycle encompassing the people processes and systems. This role serves as a strong foundation for future advancement and opportunities within the organization.Responsibilities may include:Working with Data Science team in the implementation and application of artificial intelligence within various business processesWorking directly with the Traders Operators/Schedulers and Commercial Analysts with regards to tracking and maintaining accuracy and completeness of trades in Vista (trade processing system)Working with other Analysts to optimize processes and build efficienciesResponsible for the daily invoicing of trades and processing the entry of product and ancillary trade-related invoices in VistaInvoice to cost budget reconciliations to ensure accurate capture of pnlPreparation of approved invoices for payment and coordinating with Treasury for accurate cash forecastingTimely and accurate settlement including the invoicing of sales purchases transportation and various ad hoc costsReconciliation and rolling of monthly storages for accurate inventory reportingBuilding relationships with counterparties to facilitate settlementBudget and cost review and reconciliation of all open itemsProblem solve and explain month end anomalies from Vista for/with AccountingAssist with the correct support documentation for physical movementsOther projects as assigned includes working on assignments from front office / Commercial teamRole provides the opportunity to learn the full trade cycle and serves as a strong foundation for future advancement and opportunities within the organizationQualifications : RequiredBachelors degree in Accounting Finance Mathematics Computer Science or related fieldProficiency with Microsoft ExcelPreferred Multi-lingual (Spanish / Portuguese) viewed as a positiveBasic proficiency in Python codingAbility to conceptually understand business flowsSelf-motivated and proactive in problem solvingHighly organizedTakes the initiative self-starterWorks well under pressure / fast pace environmentAnalytical approach to dataAdaptabilitySeeks to continuously build knowledgeExcellent communication skillsAdditional Information : Competitive compensationCompany provided benefits include Medical Dental Vision and Life insurancePaid vacationGenerous 401k contributionsAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Remote Work : NoEmployment Type : Full-time Key Skills Administrative Skills,Accounting Software,Time Management,Financial Services,External trade,Bank Procedures,Custodial accounts,home loan process,Communications,Internat trade,Account Management,Accounts and Finance,Markitwire,Money Market,Trade settlements Department / Functional Area: Accounting Experience: years Vacancy: 1
