About this Job PSSCGJWere looking for a Trades Apprentice / Maintenance Repairer to join our Facilities Teama hands-on dependable crew that keeps our buildings and equipment in top shape to support our organizations this role youll assist experienced tradespeople with repairs maintenance tasks and installations across a range of systems. Youll gain valuable skills while working on real-world projects and play an important part in keeping our operations running smoothly and safely.Minimum Qualifications No experience or training is required.Job Specification The official job specifications for this role as defined by the State Civil Service can be found here.Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:Plumbing: Repair and install commodes lavatories water fountains and garbage disposals. Unstop sewer lines and drains repair leaks and repair / replace faucets.Electrical: Repair light bulbs. Repair / replace ballasts receptacles switches and fans. Replace motors pumps etc.Appliance Repair: Repair washing machines dryers ice machines and refrigerators.Carpentry: Repair doors door closers hinges cabinet doors knobs baseboards cabinets furniture door stops windows etc.Refrigeration: Performs preventive maintenance and maintenance on a/c units and air handlers. Clean coils; work on pumps to air handlers motors chill water valves controls belts and filters.Keep a check on hot water temperatures and maintain a log.Run and service generators and maintain a log.
