Traffic Signal Technician at AECOM

AECOM is seeking a Traffic Signal Technician for various transportation projects. Responsibilities and Tasks include but are not limited to the following:Installation and RepairPerforming work required to install maintain modify and repair traffic signal equipment and associated apparatus including: Traffic signals controllers (microprocessor-based) detectors and wiringResponding to emergency and/or damage situations (e.g. traffic accidents) to restore signals to normal operationTroubleshooting and MaintenanceDiagnosing and correcting causes of failures in electronic electrical and mechanical systemsPerforming scheduled preventive maintenanceAdjusting detectors timing controllers and making signal timing changes as directedField Operations:Working from technical sketches blueprints and schematics to perform repairs and installationsQualifications : Minimum requirementsHS or equivalent 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationCoursework/training in electronics or electrical engineering Experience in traffic signal installation operation and maintenance.Preferred RequirementsAbility to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditionsAbility to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50-100 lbs).Additional Information : Sponsorship is not available for this positionRelocation is not available for this positionAbout AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
